Grandfather’s Rock: An Italian Folktale

Summary: In a Southern Italian town a father lives with his wife
and four children. His father, who is old comes to live with them. However,
as the cost of having him is to much on the family, and they decide to take him to
the old people’s home. The children are saddened by this, but tell their father
that they will help with the chores so that grandfather will be able to stay.
Evaluation/rating: I love that this story shows the strength
of the family bonds. It kind of reminds me as I am with my family. There are bright and colorful pictures on
each page.
