Stephanie Coccia-Children's Lit-Max's Bath

Max’s Bath authored and illustrated by Rosemary Wells is a cute story about a little bunny named Max, who is trying to take a bath. His sister, Ruby is trying to help, but her efforts at getting Max clean are  only diminished by Max’s curiosity. At the end Max gets clean when Ruby gets dirty. This book is great at showing the spills of everyday life. As it is written I feel that it succeeds at showing how words are written and also punctuated. It is clear and cut to the point. I think that this a perfect book for preschool classrooms.

  1. Max and Ruby are such delightful characters. There are many of these books by Rosemary Wells. Children cling on to certain characters, and these two are certainly ones that appeal to many children.
